Sometimes we taste something and we can't wait to get it in a glass for our customers. We don't even want them to walk out of the store before they've tasted it for themselves. That is, after all, the best way to learn about wine, isn't it? Well, when we started our plans for the store, we thought we'd better find a spot for a Wine Bar. Usually, stores take this opportunity to have a little corner devoted to two or three selections. Knowing that just isn't our style, we devoted about a third of the store to exposing 15-20 different wines by the 2 oz. taste, the 5 oz. glass, (in some cases) the half bottle, and the full bottle. Anything from our shelves can be purchased and poured for retail plus a $6.00 corkage fee. And if all that isn't enough, we serve flights of several wines consisting of a particular theme that strikes our fancy. We even write up a menu with information about all the wines we feature. With a new list every week or so, there's always something fun to explore. Our customers have gotten used to grabbing some great cheese from Cowgirl Creamery, some bread from Acme bakery and sitting down to a lovely glass of wine in our bar. Join us when you're in town! It seems like every Saturday, someone shows up at 8:30 in the morning with fresh shucked oysters looking for a glass of Champagne & we couldn't let them down, could we?
