Now this one is a mouthful, both in the name and the flavor of the wine. The nose is wonderfully floral with a generous amount of honeysuckle and a hint of salt sea air.

The palate is racy with citrus flavors and brilliant acidity. The wine has lovely balance, stony minerals, and a clean, refreshing finish. It is made from a rare grape, Bianchetta Genovese, planted on the terraced hillsides of the Ligurian coast. "U Pastine" means extra special gift in the Ligurian dialect and that is what Pierluigi Lugano has provided in this immensely satisfying Italian white wine. - Jeff Prather
