This is very dark for a typical Burgundy with deep extracted color. It is a bright purple color with a youthful appearance. Looks can be deceiving.

This is a slightly unusual wine from the Languedoc region in that instead of being a spicy blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre it is made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are grown with Biodynamic methods and the purity of the fruit as well as the classic terroir flavors of the soil come shining through on the palate.

Furmint is best known for its use in producing the world-class dessert wine, Tokaji Aszu, from Hungary. This is a completely different take on this grape, it is vinified bone-dry with brilliant acidity. It has amazing acidity and is quite refreshing. This rich, opulent blend of 60% Pinot Blanc, 30% Chardonnay, and 10% Sauvignon Blanc is a surprising full-bodied white that is outside the box of what you normally think about from Alto Adige.
