Fabulous Lasseter Family Estate with Owner Nancy Lasseter!: $22

Join us Wednesday, May 16th, from 4:30-7:30pm, when we welcome Nancy Lasseter, Owner of Lasseter Family Estate, to our Wine Bar. Founded in 2000, Lasseter Family Winery has three generations working together to craft organically farmed, estate grown, old world style blends from historic vineyards in the Sonoma Valley.  Don't expect to see familiar names like Zinfandel or Merlot on the labels though.  Lasseter Family Estate does not use typical varietal names for their wines, instead choosing to create whimsical, lyrical proprietary names for all of their wines. Nancy feels, "Each wine represents our passion for old world style blends and there is truly a story in every bottle."  You might expect something very imaginative from the Lasseter Family since Nancy's husband, John, is the Chief Creative Officer of Pixar, the company behind the movies Toy Story, Cars, and Monster Inc.

Their Provence style rose is playfully named Enjoue, their Chemin de Fer is a Grenache-based Rhone style blend, the Paysage is made in the style of St. Emilion, the Amoureux is a Malbec based wine, and finally, the L'Ame de Sage is their old vine Zinfandel.  The flavors of these wines are as bright and lively as their fanciful names and we are sure you will be delighted on first sip. Their private estate winery is tucked in the Valley of the Moon in Sonoma Valley where they would eagerly invite you to visit and meet the family.    

On this fun evening we are excited to offer these five core wines from Lasseter Family Estate in Sonoma Valley. Please join us and help us provide a warm welcome to Nancy Lasseter of Lasseter Family Estate. Come meet the owner and ask her about their travels through France that inspired them in their wine endeavor. Have her tell you about the early days at Pixar and how Toy Story changed their lives.  Or just enjoy her lovely wines and her down to earth approach. She is charming.

The wines will be served as two ounce glasses. If you find a favorite and would like a full glass just ask your bartender. The wines will be available for retail sales as well while supplies last...
