Whether you are looking for an interactive, educational experience, or just a special way to bond with your friends, family, or colleagues, the Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant and Oxbow Wine Merchant offer events for all occasions, and all levels of wine knowledge.

Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant in San Francisco

At Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant, we offer wine tasting events for up to 25 people in the front wine bar or 30-45 people in the back wine bar of the historic Ferry Building in San Francisco. We can also have up to 65 people in the entire bar or up to 100 people in the Port Commission Hearing Room, which is a lovely room off the Grand Hall upstairs of the Ferry Building with beautiful views of the bay and Bay Bridge.

Our tastings typically consist of a variety of wines which are selected by our expert wine merchants and poured to guests throughout the event. We also offer a wide selection of appetizers such as Oxbow Cheese Merchant and Cowgirl Creamery cheese platters, Charcuterie platters from Boccalone, smoked salmon brushetta from MarketBar, and an assortment of other appetizers from our fellow merchants in the Ferry Building.

We can also incorporate an interactive element into the event such as a brown bag tasting, which is fun and educational (and sometimes surprising!) or a special presentation showcasing a variety of topics that wrap around food and wine.

Oxbow Wine Merchant in Napa

Oxbow Wine Merchant can accommodate groups as small as 10 and up to 100+. The open, light-filled shop and bar offers a comfortable venue for food and wine tastings. We also have a lovely private room that can host groups up to 16 people, can be booked for tastings, custom classes, business meetings (flat screen available), or intimate meals.

If your preference is to have your event outdoors, we gladly offer use of our terrace overlooking the Napa River. To complement any of our wines, Chef Miguel offers a delicious food menu, which includes cheeses from our cheese shop, Oxbow Cheese Merchant, artisan meat plates, small appetizer plates, hearty panini sandwiches, sumptuous daily and seasonal specials, as well as a selection of yummy sweets.
